During Bright Side Dental’s 8th Annual Halloween Candy Buy-Back Program from Nov. 2nd to Nov. 13th, 5,000 lbs of candy were collected. We have residents from Sterling Heights, St. Clair Shores, Canton, Livonia, Southfield, Warren, and Farmington to thank for their donations. Also, this was the first year Bloomfield Hills participated; it was a smashing success!
We took all of your charity and put it towards Operation Gratitude, a non-profit organization that “…annually sends 150,000+ care packages filled with snacks, entertainment, hygiene and hand-made items, plus personal letters of appreciation, to New Recruits, Veterans, First Responders, Wounded Warriors, Care Givers and to individually named U.S. Service Members deployed overseas.” Without these donations, the Operation would not be such a huge hit!
Lastly, for every pound of unopened candy brought in, children were given a raffle ticket for our prize giveaway at the end of the drive on Nov. 13th. Each office gave away its own prizes to the children that were generous enough to share their candy for a good cause. Bright Side thanks everyone that participated this Halloween and looks forward to seeing how much candy is donated for next year!
