Dental Crowns
Upgrade your smile.
There’s no need to live with fractured or misshaped teeth. We create state-of-the-art crowns to cover or cap your tooth to restore it to its normal shape and size.

Here’s how dental crown services work:
- The outer portion of your tooth is removed to make room for the thickness of the crown.
- An impression is made to provide an exact model of the prepared tooth. The impression is sent to a dental laboratory, where your crown is custom made.
- A temporary crown is placed on your tooth while your custom crown is being made.
- When the permanent crown is ready, a Bright Side Dental dentist puts it into place, makes any necessary adjustments and bows in humble awe of your new and improved mouth.

A dental crown is a porcelain or metal “cap” that is placed over an existing tooth. Dental crowns are meant to restore broken or worn-down teeth, protecting them from further degradation and decay. They also create support for the surrounding teeth when the affected tooth can no longer give support.
The cost of a dental crown can be between $500-$3,000 per tooth. The final cost of the procedure will depend on dental insurance coverage, how many crowns are required and the material used for the crown, among other factors.

The dental crown procedure at Bright Side Dental involves two office visits.
During the first appointment, your tooth is prepared by removing its outer portion, making room for the crown. An impression is made so that a custom crown can be created. While the crown is being created, a temporary crown will be put in place.
During the second appointment, the permanent crown is put into place.
There are four types of dental crowns:
- Ceramic
- Porcelain fused to metal
- Gold
- Metal
