Dr. Jonathan Misch

Staff Profile

Dr. Jonathan Misch earned his DDS and MS in Periodontics from the University of Michigan, where he was named Chief Resident and received the Michigan Periodontal Alumni Award and the Donald Kerr Periodontal Scholarship. A Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, he is a board-certified periodontist and implant surgeon whose research on prosthetic design and peri-implant bone loss has earned top honors in both regional and national research competitions.

Dr. Misch has published more than 20 peer-reviewed articles in leading dental and implant journals and serves as a reviewer for Clinical Implant Dentistry and Related Research and the International Journal of Oral Implantology. In 2024 he chaired the Midwest Society of Periodontology. He is also CEO of the Misch Implant Institute, founded by his father 40 years ago, which has trained over 10,000 dentists in implant surgery and prosthetics.

Outside dentistry, Dr. Misch was a starting linebacker on Michigan State’s 2010 Big Ten Championship team and, with his wife Jaclyn, competed on CBS’s Survivor. They live with their son, Logan, and two dogs, Koda and Yogi.
