Bright Side Dental & Orthodontics of Livonia
Our family-owned practice is dedicated to providing your complete dental care. As a local dentist, we operate nine locations throughout the Detroit metro area to better serve our patients. Your dental health — and your comfort — are our priorities.
Call Bright Side Dental & Orthodontics today to make a same-day dentist appointment, and find out why we are Livonia’s favorite walk-in dentist office!
Dental Cleanings and Exams
Good dental hygiene starts with regular brushing, flossing, and teeth cleaning. Our pediatric dentist helps instill these healthy habits in our youngest patients during their professional dental cleaning, setting the foundation for a lifetime of strong oral health.
But even diligent brushers need semi-annual cleanings at a dentist’s office, no matter their age. That’s when we remove tartar and built-up plaque from your teeth. It’s also when we perform a complete dental examination to make sure your teeth, gums, and mouth are healthy.
Dental Restorations
Another reason it’s important to get regular checkups is that a cavity is easier to treat when it’s smaller. A filling is a quick and easy remedy for a small cavity, but if it has progressed, you may need a crown instead, or a root canal if the infection has set in.
We provide a local anesthetic for most of our dental procedures, but we offer our patients sedation dentistry as well because your comfort is important to us.
Orthodontics
Orthodontics straightens your teeth, but it also corrects structural and alignment problems such as overbite, underbite, crossbite and issues with the jaw and palate that can affect chewing, swallowing, and speech. To learn more, contact our pediatric dentistry & orthodontics office today!
Our orthodontists offer traditional metal braces as well as other less-noticeable options such as ceramic braces (clear), lingual braces (affixed to the backs of teeth) and Invisalign® (clear removable trays often called Invisalign aligners). If you need a dental retainer, we offer that, too!
Wisdom Tooth Extraction
Not all patients need oral surgery for wisdom tooth extraction, but many do. This is often done when patients are in their late teens or early 20s before the teeth fully emerge. That’s because if wisdom teeth are allowed to come in, they can wreak havoc in many ways, including overcrowding your teeth and possibly ruining the results of any orthodontia you may have had.
We use general anesthesia for wisdom tooth removal, so there’s no pain, and recovery is usually uneventful.
Cosmetic Dentistry
Even if your teeth are healthy and straight, they might not be as white as you’d like them to be. Reasons could be your diet, personal habits or genetics. Regardless, try one of our teeth-whitening solutions. It’s easy and you’ll love the cosmetic dentistry results!
For a more permanent teeth whitening solution, you may want to consider Lumineers or veneers.
